Research Interest: Cell cycle regulation, Molecular mechanisms of cellular transformation, Novel tumor suppression pathways, Development of targeted anti-cancer strategies. Major focus of the lab: Understanding the molecular mechanisms that control tumor development and to identify the cellular pathways that are dysregulated in human cancers. Current focus of the lab is to reveal the mechanisms of HPV mediated inactivation of key cellular regulators as an effort towards identifying novel molecular targets against HPV related malignancies. Other research activities involve elucidation of oncogenic mechanisms of FoxM1, Cul4A and uncovering the novel tumor suppressor functions of Cytoglobin.
